Vita Ostrander Advocacy Award

In 1992 the Georgia Council on Aging established an award to recognize an older adult who demonstrates exemplary leadership as an advocate to improve the quality of life for older Georgians. The award was named after just such a Georgian, Vita Ostrander.

Nomination Criteria:

1. An individual, 60 years or older;
2. Advocacy activities must be (or have been) uncompensated; and
3. Must have demonstrated exemplary leadership statewide in legislative advocacy on behalf of older Georgians
