Beautiful fall weather continues, the election season is over, and you are probably gearing up for the upcoming holidays. Before you get too involved in all of the holiday festivities, please take a moment to mark your calendar for the first

CO-AGE meeting of 2007  

9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, January 4

and will be held at
Clayton State College and
University's Continuing Education
Marrow, Georgia
 

This meeting we will strategize about our issues for the upcoming legislative session. Effectively advocating for the CO-AGE priorities that we selected in July (click here for a review of the priorities) will be prominently featured on the agenda. We hope that you will be able to attend. We appreciate the Atlanta Regional Commission Area Agency on Aging for hosting this meeting. Several local legislators have also been invited. The center is easily accessible from I-75. Click here for directions. Please return the RSVP form that you can
print out from here and fax, by December 22 to inform us whether or not you will be attending. There will be a $10.00 registration fee to cover the cost of materials and refreshments. Lunch will not be provided, but several fast food restaurants are located nearby for you to enjoy before you head home.

We have reserved some rooms at the Drury Inn Atlanta South, 6520 South Lee St.(directly off I-75) in Morrow for those desiring an overnight stay (January 3) at the special rate of $79. Also it is Senior Issues Newsletter Subscription time.  We suggest you to renew you subscription now so you won't miss a single issue. The newsletter will keep you informed weekly about the progress of CO-AGE priorities as well as other senior issues while the legislature is in session and is published monthly when the session is over.

 We wish you a relaxing holiday season, plan to see you in Morrow on January 4 and look forward to partnering with you in 2007 to effectively advocate for Georgia's seniors. Thanks for all your hard work!
