Join with other individuals and organizations to advocate for aging issues in the Georgia General Assembly . . . the CO-AGE membership drive occurs at this time each year.

Suggest a topic for advocacy by CO-AGE . . . the issue submission process ends May 16th this year.

Attend Department of Human Resources and Department of Community Health hearings about State Fiscal Year 2006 budget proposals.

Nominate someone for the 2006 Vita R. Ostrander Advocacy Award to recognize their efforts in statewide, legislative advocacy . . . nominations are due by May 30th.

Request a speaker to talk about advocacy and CO-AGE . . . at your spring/summer meeting or event

Organize a group of aging advocates to attend 2006 Senior Week at the Capitol (February 28, March 1 & 2) . . . help us out with early planning strategies

Subscribe early for the Senior Issues Newsletter . . . published weekly during the legislature

Sign up to receive periodic news releases for publication in your newsletter

Serve as an intern with the Georgia Council on Aging to further the CO-AGE efforts. We are approved for the Governor's Internship Program.
